Maximus is a 1-year-old, 67-pound Great Dane mix who has been just a little unlucky in love. But we have a feeling his luck is about to change!

This handsome boy is sweet, playful, house trained, and full of goofy young-dog energy. He's basically still a puppy... just a 67-pound puppy who hasn't quite figured out that he's a BIG boy!

Maximus is:

Good with dogs

Good with kids

Good with cats

House trained

No aggression whatsoever

Loves to run and play

Listens VERY well to corrections

He loves his people and loves to have fun. When he plays, he can get a little carried away because he doesn't always realize his own size. His heart says “tiny playful puppy,” while his body says “GREAT DANE!”

He's curious about cats and will bark at them while wagging his tail, but he doesn't chase them. He does, however, think the goats and pigs are his personal playmates and will chase them around like he's inviting them to a game. They just haven't figured out that Maximus is trying to play!

His foster is working with him on boundaries and corrections, and he listens so well and wants to please. He's a smart boy who is learning every day.

Maximus is the sweetest guy, and underneath all that big-dog goofiness is a young dog who just wants someone to love him and give him the forever home he deserves.
