# Meet Bane!

**1-Year-Old Daniff Gentle Giant Professional Cuddle Bug**

**Some dogs have no idea how big they are. Others have no idea how deserving of love they are. Bane is both.**

At just one year old, this magnificent Daniff (Great Dane/Mastiff mix) has already survived more than any dog should. He was found wandering loose in the desert, only to end up in an overcrowded shelter where he landed on the euthanasia list.

Thankfully, Bane got his second chance. And now, all this beautiful boy needs is someone to show him that love is forever.

Despite his intimidating name and impressive size, **Bane is quite possibly the gentlest, most affectionate giant you’ll ever meet.** He’s a big baby wrapped in an oversized dog suit!

What breaks our hearts is that Bane sometimes acts as though he’s expecting someone to hurt him. If you turn around too quickly while holding his food bowls, he’ll immediately drop to the floor, flatten himself, and look up at you with the saddest eyes. We don’t know exactly what happened in his past, but his reaction makes us worry that someone wasn’t kind to him.

When this happens, we put everything down, lie on the floor beside him, gently stroke his face, and remind him that he’s safe now. That nobody is ever going to hurt him again.

And what does this sweet soul do in return?

**He climbs into your lap, rests his enormous head on your shoulder, and covers your face in kisses.**

Not a single ounce of resentment. Just pure, unconditional love.

Bane is the kind of dog who doesn’t just want to be near his person. He wants to melt right into them. His love language is physical affection, and he has an endless supply to give!

**Why you’ll fall head over heels for Bane:**

- Only 1 year old with a lifetime of love ahead of him
- Dog-friendly!
- Wonderful when meeting new people
- Takes treats incredibly gently
- Listens beautifully and responds quickly
- Sweet, affectionate, and eager to please
- Loves cuddling, kisses, and resting his head on your shoulder
- A sensitive, gentle soul with so much love to give

Bane isn’t looking for anything extravagant. He doesn’t need a mansion, fancy toys, or a perfect life.

**He just needs a kind human, a soft place to sleep, gentle hands, and the promise that he’ll never have to be afraid again.**

We would love to see Bane in a patient, loving home where he’ll be treated as a cherished family member, allowed to build his confidence, and celebrated for the extraordinary sweetheart he is.

He survived the desert. He survived the shelter. He survived being scheduled to lose his life before it had barely begun.

**Now it’s time for Bane to experience the very best part of life: being somebody’s whole world.**

If you’ve ever dreamed of having a giant, affectionate shadow who thinks he’s a lapdog, Bane might just be your soulmate.

**Apply to adopt Bane through Healing Hounds Rescue and give this beautiful boy the happily ever after he’s been waiting for.**
