Toby - Goldendoodle Dog for Adoption in Marblehead, Massachusetts

Toby is a three year old Mini Golden Doodle. He was surrendered to the shelter along with his mother as the family was moving out of state and would not take all the dogs. While is family socialized him within their family Toby was never around people outside of his family, his pack. So Toby was unaware of all the friendly loving people he had yet to meet. HIs foster mom is now under taking this part of Toby's journey. We feel he would do better with another confident dog in the home. This is what is Foster Mom has to say about him.

"Toby is a sweet, sensitive soul who just wants to be with his people/pack. While he is a total homebody, he is excellent in the car and enjoys going on walks (once you convince him it will be fun). Even though he is still young, Toby is a pretty chill, quiet dog and is happy to relax by your side all day. Once he's comfortable with you, he has a playful, goofy side that's so wonderful to see.

Toby gets along very well with other dogs and would do best in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes and make him feel at ease. He can be hesitant about meeting new people and going to new places, but he has done so well with all the new experiences he's encountered over the past few weeks, such as visiting stores, going to breweries, and going for walks in busy areas. He is a bit skittish, so he needs people that will keep him safe while he's getting used to loud noises like thunderstorms, fireworks, and trash trucks. He can be a bit clingy and is working on being home alone. He just needs a bit of time, patience, and love to make him feel safe and comfortable. "

When in group settings he tends to hang by his pack or just goes into a quiet corner so he can take in all the goings on. While there was a younger child in his pack we are looking for a home that is not busy with activity. We are looking for a home that is chill just like Toby. He will melt your heart!
