Good Morning from Kobe!

Kobe’s story is one of resilience, trust, and a second chance at life.

For the past six months, he survived on the streets, taking shelter under a house—alone, scared, and completely shut down. His coat was so matted and filthy he smelled of decay, and he wouldn’t let anyone come near him. Life had taught him not to trust.

Then one afternoon, everything changed.

A kind woman came by, and for reasons we may never fully understand… Kobe chose her. He let her approach. He let her help. And in that moment, his new life began.

She took him straight to the vet, where she generously covered everything—his vaccines, neuter, and a much-needed shave and grooming. Though he lost his curly Poodle coat, it will grow back—and with it, his full transformation into the handsome boy he was always meant to be. Today, Kobe is a completely different dog.

At about a year and a half old and 74 pounds, he’s a big, gentle soul. He is kind, loving, and eager to please. Despite everything he’s been through, he has the sweetest heart. He gets along well with other dogs and is soaking up love with his amazing foster team at Smooch My Pooch Grooming & Boarding.

Kobe didn’t just survive—he waited for someone to believe in him. Now he’s ready for a forever home that will never let him down again.
