Theo deserves a chance. And somewhere out there, we know there’s someone willing to give him one.
At just three years old, Theo should be chasing tennis balls, enjoying life, and curling up beside someone who loves him. Instead, this sweet Golden Retriever mix was found wandering the streets, underweight, filthy, and struggling with the lasting effects of an old car accident.
Theo is now safe and finally getting the care and attention he deserves.
But Theo has a challenge. Because of his old injuries, he struggles with incontinence. It’s something that may require a little extra patience, understanding, and care. What it doesn’t change is the wonderful dog he is or how deserving he is of a loving home.
And that’s where we’re hoping someone special comes in.
We’re looking for a foster or, even better, a forever family willing to open their heart and home to Theo. Someone who understands that not every dog comes without challenges, but that doesn’t make them any less worthy of love.
We’ve been in rescue long enough to know that sometimes the dogs who need us the most turn out to be the ones who give us the most in return.
Theo didn’t ask for any of this. He didn’t ask to be abandoned, injured, or left to fend for himself. But he deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, comfortable, and loved.
The good news is that Theo is making great progress! He wears his vest as a precaution, but once he goes out after eating he's hardly had any accidents at all!
If you’ve ever considered fostering or adopting a special-needs dog, please consider Theo. And if you can’t, sharing his story might just help us reach the person who can.
There is a home out there for this boy. We just need to find it!
