Looking for a best friend who can keep up with your adventures and steal your heart at the same time? Meet Winnie!

Winnie is a beautiful 6-month-old retriever mix who is currently available for adoption at the City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter. This sweet girl came to us as a stray through no fault of her own, so her past is a mystery, but her future could be with you!

Winnie is a fetch enthusiast and could play all day if you let her!
She loves a good game of tug-of-war.

She's very treat motivated and already knows how to sit like a pro.
Winnie takes her self-appointed neighborhood watch duties seriously and will let you know when someone stops by to say hello.

One of her favorite activities? Splashing around and having fun in the pool!

Winnie gets along with other dogs, but we do require a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone is a good match.

Cats: Unknown. Since Winnie is still a young puppy, she has lots of potential to learn and adapt with proper introductions and training.

Children: Respectful children are suggested. Kids should understand how to appropriately interact with and respect a dog's space and boundaries.

Winnie is full of personality, love, and puppy energy. She's ready to find a family that will continue teaching her, playing with her, and giving her the forever home she deserves. Could that be you?
