Meet Mercury!

Mercury is a Golden Retriever/Blue Heeler mix, though you'd probably guess he was a little Black Lab when you first meet him! He has big paws that he's still growing into-but they're not nearly as big as his heart.

Like any goofy puppy, Mercury is delightfully floppy and still figuring out how his legs work. Running often turns into a tumble, and accidentally crashing into his brother usually becomes an impromptu wrestling match (at least according to Mercury).

He's making great progress with potty training! When he goes outside, he usually knows exactly what to do and goes potty right away. Like any young puppy, he's still having the occasional accident indoors, but he's learning every day.

Mercury is also working on crate training. Right now he shares a crate with his brother, Dipper, because having a buddy nearby helps him feel safe. He's not thrilled when his foster mom leaves and will let everyone know he's a little sad at first, but he settles himself down and falls asleep after a few minutes. When the crate door is left open, he'll even choose to wander in for a nap on his own.

Mercury has another special talent-he's a professional shoe thief! After discovering that foster mom's work shoes were his favorite treasure, she got him a shoe-shaped toy instead. Mercury's logic? If it's not a toy, then why is it toy-shaped? He's incredibly curious and always eager to investigate whatever catches his eye.

Recently neutered and ready to find his forever family, Mercury is looking for people who will appreciate his goofy puppy antics, celebrate his milestones, and help him continue growing into the amazing dog he's destined to become.
