At 7 1/2 years old, Ruby is still ready for just about any adventure! She loves trail runs, hikes, and long walks, then happily switches gears for snuggles at home. Calm, quiet, and house-trained, she’s an affectionate, loyal companion who adores her people.
Ruby is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She is not currently suited to living with other dogs or small animals due to her reactivity and strong prey drive. Older children are recommended because Ruby can become mouthy when excited. She is athletic and has been known to jump over gates and fences, so a fence is recommended to keep her safe. Because she loves her people so much she can struggle when left alone. Trazodone has been a helpful tool in managing her separation anxiety, and she has successfully stayed home alone for up to four hours.
