Ellie, aka El or Ellie May is a beautiful sweet fluffy girl. She's got good manners other than she loves to give hugs and she walks so close to you, that she blocks you. We're working on only hugging when asked and walking next to people rather than in front of them. She's completely house trained and crate trained. She will bark a bit outside when fenced if she sees a dog or person, but she comes to her name quickly. She does have a prey drive for squirrels and rabbits, but is very sweet with all dogs big and small. I watched her get bit a by a small dog and she gave them a strange look and walked away. Excellent temperament! I've never even heard her growl. She's also good with kids. Not cat tested, but considering her prey drive, it might take some slow intros. She's fine with tiny dogs though.

Ellie is a super affectionate dog who follows you everywhere. However, she will not go on furniture or your bed even if you try to convince her or put her there. I don't know why, perhaps where she came from? At night she sleeps downstairs and doesn't need to be crated. She's never had an accident in her foster's home and she can hold it seemingly forever. She is playful and loves dog toys and occasionally a shoe, so caution with shoes is recommended. She likes to bring her toys outside and usually she doesn't destroy them, but on occasion she has been known to. Ellie is athletic and in good shape. She is very good at leash walking though she will dart after a squirrel or a rabbit, so hold on tight even if she's loose leash walking right next to you.
