How handsome is this 5-year-old Golden boy?! Meet Peeta!

We sure were happy to help this really nice Golden boy. Peeta arrived at a shelter as a stray, very underweight and dirty. Despite everything he had been through, he was a good boy while he was there—and he has been absolutely wonderful with us in the short time we’ve had him.

What we already know about Peeta? This boy LOVES attention! He will soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give him. He Velcros himself right onto our volunteers, and if you lie down with him, you can count on getting a cuddle. He even likes to jump up for hugs!

This poor boy has clearly been through a lot, just like the character he was named after. Yet somehow, he remains gentle, friendly, and happy to play with his toys in his kennel.

Peeta currently weighs just 55 pounds and could easily use another 10 pounds. He will need a quiet, loving home where he can settle in, feel safe, and learn that he will never have to worry about going hungry again.
