Sampson - Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania

When Sampson arrived at the shelter, he barely had any fur, was covered in fleas, and had a severe skin and ear infection. Sampson was treated for the fleas, ear and skin infection and had some bloodwork done that revealed that Sampson has hypothyroidism. With the help of his thyroid medication, Sampson is growing back the fur that he was missing when he first arrived at the shelter. Sampson will be on this medication most likely for the rest of his life. He is also on a special food as he does have some food allergies. He will need someone that understands that Sampson will need regular Veterinary care to keep his thyroid levels checked and to keep his allergies in check. Sampson is a sweet guy but would do best in an adult only home. He loves going for walks and loves going to the play yard to take in all the outdoor smells and watch the world around him. He doesn't know how big he is as he loves to lay with his head in your lap! Sampson would love to find his special forever home! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested (negative), and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.
