Meet Sandy — a beautiful, sweet soul who is finally getting the chance she deserves. Sandy came from the same large rescue situation where an older veteran had taken in far too many dogs while simply trying to help them. When help arrived, Sandy was found huddled together in a pen with several other dogs, patiently waiting for someone to notice her.

Despite everything, Sandy has remained incredibly loving and trusting. She appears to be around 2–3 years old, weighs about 35 pounds, and is wonderfully healthy with gorgeous coloring that makes her even more special. She gets along great with other dogs, does well with kids, and has a gentle, kind personality that makes people fall in love with her quickly.

Sandy is one of the lucky ones — now safe in rescue and ready to start a brand-new life. After all she’s been through, we are determined to find her a forever home where she will always be cherished, protected, and loved for the rest of her life.

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.

The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.

NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.

If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
