Golden Retriever and German Shepherd Dog Dogs Available for Adoption in Burlington, North Carolina

This absolutely gorgeous, brilliant and snuggly sweet boy is Rupert! He came into the pound with his sibling after they had been abandoned, and everyone was in disbelief at just how both gorgeous and wonderful they are!! Thankfully a fantastic foster family was happy to take them home and give them a great foundation while they each await their forever homes!
Rupert is about 8 months old, and he’s such a sweet baby! He looks like a beautiful combo of golden and shepherd, perhaps king shepherd, and he truly is such a king! He is currently about 50 lbs and is estimated to be close to 70 lbs at full maturity. He has gotten all of his vet work done and this baby is now current on vaccines, deworming, preventative, heartworm tested negative, and he’s been microchipped and neutered! He’s a healthy hunk of love and can’t wait to find his dream home!
In foster care Rupert has shown what a brilliant pup he is, and also just how very sweet. He is fantastic with other dogs and loves playing with everyone he meets! He’s also living with a cat and is excellent with her! He is a social guy and is fantastic with both children and all adults that he has the pleasure of getting to know! This guy picked up house training quickly and reliably goes potty outside. Rupert loooooves his toys, walks, hikes, car rides, and enjoys joining you on any adventure you’d like to take him on. He’s a beautiful combination of brilliance and kindness, always looking for love and happy to learn whatever you’d like to teach him. He would love a home where he has a grassy yard to play and relax in, and parents who will welcome him for a nighttime snuggle on the sofa or in bed! He’s the best of all worlds, and can’t wait to begin his next chapter!
