Meet Jasper!

Jasper is one of our newest fosters, and this BIG goofy dude is one happy, lovable guy.

Jasper came to us in pretty rough shape — covered in fleas, scars, and new wounds, starving, and scared. Despite everything he’s been through, he still gets excited to see people and has been such a good boy.

And just LOOK at that coat! Jasper is a 68-pound, 5–6-year-old Giant Schnauzer with a gorgeous sleek black coat and a personality to match. He’s underweight right now, so he still has some weight to put on, but he is already a big boy!

Jasper LOVES to play fetch and is incredibly gentle when taking treats. He also happily goes into his crate for a treat and settles right down.

We’ve introduced Jasper to another dog and he did well, but he does guard his food and toys, so any doggy friendships will need to be managed appropriately. He is also a firm NO CATS kind of guy.

This boy is looking for an active home that will keep him busy and give him plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. He has a lot of energy and would love a family that can keep up with him!

Jasper is heartworm positive, but that’s not something his future family needs to worry about financially — the rescue will cover the cost of his heartworm treatment.

Jasper has clearly had a rough start, but he hasn’t let it change his sweet, goofy spirit. Now he just needs someone to give him the chance he deserves.

Jasper is neutered, dewormed, age appropriate vaccines, has been Heartworm tested and microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. He will need continued treatment for Heartworms and the rescue will cover those expenses.
