Doc (Talladega, Alabama) - German Wirehaired Pointer Dog for Adoption in Santa Rosa, California

Doc was born in March 2025 and spent the first year of his life chained up with very limited human
contact. Doc has suffered extreme neglect.

He was rescued in March 2026 just after his first birthday and weighed 25 pounds. When Jessica saw photos of him, she knew she had to rescue him.
He is fully vetted and has been working on his basic obedience . He loves to learn and he loves to please his people. Doc has gained about 20 pounds and will continue to gain more weight as he grows is 10 months.

He is crate trained walks very well on a leash. Doc loves the water. He loves to play fetch and he sees joy in every thing that he does. He is heartworm positive, but he is also very young and will recover. Jessica has done everything she can for him, but she cannot keep him as she has a tiny dog and a disabled cat and Doc has a high prey drive for furry creatures. We were told that Doc is a cross between a GWP and a GSP.
