Meet Candace, a 3 year old mixed breed pup (wire-haired pointer x cattle dog mix?) with a face that says “aww” and a heart that says “absolutely not, sir.” This quirky girl is looking for a foster or forever home!

Candace is sweet, snuggly, and full of personality… as long as you’re not a man. She’s made her stance clear, fellas just aren’t her vibe. She currently lives with a man in her foster home and her approach is simple: avoid, ignore, repeat. She’s not aggressive, just a woman who knows her boundaries.

Outside of her very specific opinions, Candace is a total catch. She’s potty trained, crate trained, walks well on leash and gets along great with other dogs. Cats, however, are a bit too tempting to chase.

Candace recently visited the vet and started medication to help her gain confidence, and she’s already showing signs of blossoming. She’s looking for a foster or forever home full of patience, compassion, and people who respect her very particular boundaries.

If you’ve got treats, a cozy couch, and a sense of humor about a dog with strong opinions, Candace will love you fiercely (as long as you’re not a dude).
