Meet Zeb
Zeb is a 2.5-year-old male
German Shorthaired Pointer
, weighing about 55 lbs, who recently came into rescue and is settling into foster care.
First Impressions
Zeb is a more sensitive guy who is still adjusting to a new environment. He can be a bit nervous as he takes everything in, but we’re already seeing glimpses of a sweet, playful dog underneath.
He’s doing well with the resident dog in his foster home and has been appropriate around cats.
Personality
Zeb has a softer, more cautious temperament and will benefit from a home that gives him time to build confidence. Once he starts to feel safe, he quickly becomes a “velcro” dog who wants to stay close to his people.
Behavior Notes (So Far)
Good with other dogs
Doing well around cats
House trained
Nervous in new situations, but decompressing
Has jumped a chain-link fence
What Zeb Needs
Zeb will do best in a home that:
Provides structure and consistency
Is patient while he continues to adjust
Has a secure yard — a privacy fence or underground fence will be important given his ability to clear a chain-link fence
Looking Ahead
Zeb is still early in his foster placement, and we’ll continue to update his profile as we learn more.
He will be available for adoption after completing his vetting, including neuter.
If you are interested in giving him a permanent home, please complete our adoption application.
