Winston - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Vallejo, California

Winston is a beautiful 2ish year old lab mix with the most loving eyes. He has only been with us a short time, but he's already a staff and volunteer favorite. He's shy and timid (being in a shelter is scary) but he's very sweet. He has done well when introduced to other dogs and to a large group of volunteers. He's also done well on walks, though he needs some training with loose leash walking. He's gentle and seems to enjoy toys and socializing with other dogs, and he's a polite greeter with new dog friends. We look forward to seeing his true personality shine when he lets his guard down in a loving home.

We start all dog adoptions with a scheduled, relaxed meet-and-greet with the whole family (incuding family dogs) to check initial fit, followed by a two-week foster to make sure the dog settles in well at home. You will really get to know Winston - or any of our great dogs - before committing.
