Meet Luna
Age: ~1 year
Location: Lawton
Spayed: Yes
Luna is a VERY sweet, patient girl with a gentle heart. She loves kids, though she can be shy at first, so give her a little time to warm up. Her favorite thing in the world is a good scratch just in front of her front legs. It makes her wobbly and her feet kick!
You may know Luna as the mama of our 11 puppies. She was rescued after giving birth outside in the Oklahoma heat, and she has been a patient, gentle mama through all of it. Now it's her turn to find a family of her own.
Luna is housetrained and great with a doggy door. She's also very smart. She learns her foster's routines quickly, and sometimes uses them to her advantage! She's still working on crate manners, and she's learning what is and isn't okay to chew, so she can't be left unattended just yet. She isn't a fan of leashes, but she walks well enough for her vet visits. Her foster is taking her to pet stores and other new places now that she's vaccinated.
Luna gets along well with other dogs. We haven't tested her with cats.
Luna is spayed and heartworm positive, and she's in treatment. Once she finishes, she should be able to live a long, normal life.
This girl is sweet, smart, and ready for a patient family who will give her structure and a little time to come out of her shell.
