Meet Rex! At about 4 years old, Rex is a handsome, happy, outgoing guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart.

Rex is incredibly friendly and loves being part of the action. He's playful, affectionate, loyal, and once you're one of his people, he's all in. He's currently being fostered by an 84-year-old woman whom he absolutely adores — so while Rex may look like a rugged guy's guy, he's apparently decided that sweet senior ladies are pretty great, too!

Rex has a good amount of energy and would love a home where he can play, explore, and be included in everyday life. We wouldn't necessarily call him "high energy" — **boisterous** is probably the better word! He's an enthusiastic, fun-loving dog who approaches life with gusto.

Rex has also completed professional training and has a great foundation to build on. We'd love to find an adopter who will continue giving him the structure, consistency, exercise, and engagement that help a smart, confident dog like Rex thrive.

One of Rex's favorite things is having a canine buddy. He has done very well with medium and large dogs and would ideally go to a home with another playful dog who can be his friend and help burn off some of that enthusiasm. Because Rex can be a little *too* enthusiastic for smaller animals, he is **not a match for small dogs or cats**.

Rex is also looking for an **adult home without small children**. He's a big, exuberant guy, and he'll be happiest with people who appreciate a substantial dog with an equally substantial personality.

Rex is fully vetted and ready for his next chapter. More than anything, he wants what every good dog wants: people of his own, a canine friend to play with, some room for fun and adventure, and a place where he can finally settle in and belong.
