DESCRIPTION
The Potato Puppies, our 6-week-old Shepherd-Husky mixes, were orphaned at just hours old and the shelter reached out to us for help. All hands were on deck for the first month as several volunteers took turns bottle feeding the group. We're so grateful to those who gave up sleep and we're so proud of the Potatoes for growing into healthy, funny, playful, fluffy puppies.
Ruffles, Samosa, Jojo, Crinkle and Aloo are our girls. Pierogi and Chip are our boys. We suspect they will be big dogs when fully grown (see their DNA mix!). The Potatoes will be ready for adoption after they are spayed/neutered on July 25th.
All puppies need vaccines every 3 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. All puppies also need training and socialization. The adopters of our Potatoes will need to be prepared to sign them up for obedience classes and to make several veterinary appointments to continue their vaccines.
The puppies will have been dewormed and will be current on their flea and heartworm preventatives by the time of adoption.
If you've been hoping to raise a big ol' fluffy puppy this summer, apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org.
