Say hello to
Bandi
, a German Shepherd mix who looks like he walked straight off a movie set with his cartoonishly good looks! From his oversized perky ears to those dreamy, Disney-worthy eyes, he’s guaranteed to steal your heart at first glance. Bandi was sadly surrendered for being “too hyper,” but he’s just a puppy who needs structure, guidance, and the chance to learn how to channel his energy. He’s incredibly smart - already walking nicely on leash and knowing commands like sit and shake—and with a few tasty treats, he’ll pick up even more in no time. Bandi is sweet and full of personality, though he can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, so he’ll do best with older kids (12+) or an adults-only home. With the right home and a little training, this high-energy, big-hearted boy is going to make an absolutely amazing companion!
-8 month old tricolor German Shepherd mix
-64 pound neutered male
-may need the standard round of shots and preventatives, but the shelter can likely help with this!
-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/23/26 as an internal transfer from another shelter, but was originally owner surrendered for being “too hyper”
-can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, but these are standard puppy behaviors that he needs help to address, which his prior family did not do
-walks well on leash and knows commands like sit and shake
-likes treats and takes them gently, so should quickly pick up on new training
-has all the bones of a perfect companion, just needs all the structure and training that any pup needs to thrive and learn to live harmoniously with other people and pets
