Mita – Senior Sable Shepherd Seeking Peace
Mita is a 6–7 year-ol old sable German Shepherd with a deeply touching story. Her owner, a veteran who loved her dearly, passed away, and Mita was surrendered to the Miami shelter with almost no chance of adoption. A friend of one of our volunteers stepped in and saved her just in time.

She has received treatment for hip dysplasia discomfort and ear infections and is now ready for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her senior years.

Mita is gentle, affectionate, housebroken, walks well on a leash, and loves playing fetch. She weighs 52 lbs — a petite Shepherd — and thrives with an experienced person who understands senior dogs and can offer her a quiet place to retire.
