Meet Tula!!
Due to no fault of her own, Tula's family is seeking the best option for her and at this time, that is a new home - so we are helping!
This is what her current owner says - Tula is a beautiful 6-year-old dog with so much love to give. She is affectionate, intelligent, and happiest when she's with her people. Whether joining you for a long walk, run, or bike ride, or curling up for cuddles on a rainy day, Tula is a wonderful companion.
Tula is smart, food-motivated, and has a solid recall. She enjoys being active and does best with at least an hour of exercise each day. Once she's had her activity, she's calm, relaxed, and happy to lounge around the house.
Tula does have a few things her new family should know. She will bark when someone comes to the door and may bark at cyclists or runners on walks. She can wander if given too much freedom, so a securely fenced yard and appropriate supervision are important. She can also be possessive of treats around other dogs, so treat time is best managed separately. Tula is not a fan of taking medications such as pills or ear drops and when she is feeling stressed, she may chew at her skin. She currently has a small hot spot on her back, which we are helping to heal.
Overall, Tula is a sweet, loyal, and deeply loving dog who would thrive with an active family or individual who can give her daily exercise, structure, plenty of companionship and a calm, stable home where she can truly be part of the family.
