**Meet Athena! **
Athena is a stunning German Shepherd estimated to be around 2 years old. She came to us as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. We can't imagine why, because Athena is so much more than a beautiful face—she has a gentle, loving personality to match her striking good looks.
Athena has done well around other dogs and also tested positively with a cat, making her a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes. Like most German Shepherds, she's intelligent, eager to learn, and will thrive with a family that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of love. While experience with the breed is a bonus, it's not required for someone committed to meeting her needs.
After spending time on her own, Athena is more than ready to trade life on the streets for a forever home. She's dreaming of daily walks, a family to call her own, and, of course, a cozy spot on the couch where she can relax in the air conditioning after a day of fun.
Athena will be fully vetted, including spay, prior to adoption.
Our shelter is currently beyond capacity, and both we and Animal Control are completely full. We urgently need adopters and foster homes so we can continue saving the lives of dogs and cats in need.
