10/6/26: Meet Nami!
Nami is a sweet, approximately 2-year-old girl whose life changed through no fault of her own. Her family was forced to surrender her when their landlord no longer allowed large dogs in their apartment. Since arriving at Char-Wills, Nami has had some time to adjust, build confidence, and work on her manners-and she has officially graduated from her foster training!
Nami has lived with a young child and is a smart girl who even responds to Spanish commands. She can still be a little nervous or aloof when meeting new people, but once she becomes comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine.
Nami is also a girl who likes to test her boundaries. She can be a little bit of a bully and is smart enough to look for any opening she can find. If she senses inconsistency or a little weakness in her handler, she'll happily wiggle right through that crack and try to take the reins! Nothing about her is extreme, but Nami needs an owner who is confident, firm, and willing to stick to their expectations. She will do best with someone who establishes clear rules and boundaries from the beginning and consistently follows through.
Nami is now ready to find the forever home she's been waiting for! She's looking for a family who will continue building her confidence while also providing the structure and guidance she needs to be successful.
For the right person, Nami has the potential to be a wonderful companion. She's smart, sweet, and ready to move on to the next chapter of her life-she just needs someone confident enough to show her the way!
If you are an approved adopter and are interested in meeting Nami, please contact the Char-Wills office. We can provide your application to her foster family so they can communicate with you directly and coordinate a potential meet-and-greet.

8/22/26: Meet Nami!
Nami is a sweet, approximately 2-year-old girl whose life changed through no fault of her own. Her family was forced to surrender her when their landlord no longer allowed large dogs in their apartment.
Nami has lived with a young child and is a smart girl who even responds to Spanish commands! She's understandably overwhelmed by all the recent changes and can be nervous and aloof when meeting new people.
As of 8/14/26, Nami is in a foster home for some extra training and one-on-one support. She will be unavailable for adoption for at least 2-3 weeks while she works on building confidence and learning new skills. Once she graduates from her foster training, she'll be ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for!
Nami needs a patient family willing to give her time and space to build trust. She may not rush into your arms right away, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine.
For the person willing to let Nami go at her own pace, the bond you build will be incredibly special.
Stay tuned for Nami's graduation! Once she's ready, she'll be looking for someone with a patient heart who will believe in her and give her the loving home she deserves.

7/21/26: Meet Nami
Nami's world changed when her family was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender her because their landlord would no longer allow a large dog in their apartment. Through no fault of her own, she suddenly found herself leaving behind everything she had ever known and starting over.
Around 2 years old, Nami has lived with a young child and is even bilingual, responding to Spanish commands! While she's certainly a smart girl, she's also understandably overwhelmed by all the recent changes in her life.
Right now, Nami is taking her time getting comfortable here at the rescue. She's naturally aloof and a bit nervous when meeting new people, preferring to observe from a distance until she's confident she's in good hands. Once she realizes you're kind and patient, she slowly begins to let her true personality shine through.
Nami is looking for a family that understands some dogs need a little extra time to trust. She isn't the type to run into your arms on the first meeting, but for the person willing to let her move at her own pace, the bond you'll build will be incredibly special.
If you have a patient heart and are looking for a loyal companion who simply needs someone to believe in her, Nami just might be the perfect addition to your family.

7/10/26: Hello, everyone! I would like to say that I have just arrived at Char-Wills on 7/10/26. My owners weren't able to keep me because the landlord said they couldn't have a big dog in a small apartment. There will be more information to come in the next week or so as I get settled in!
