VITO - German Shepherd Dog and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Georgia

Vito is such an amazing fella who was lost and trying to find his way home when he arrived at the shelter on 8/20/26. Unfortunately, when his family learned he tested positive for heartworms, they opted to sign him over to the shelter. Our hearts hurt for this very sweet pup who has been dealt a bad hand by his family who was supposed to care for him forever, perhaps they did not realize it was their responsibility to protect him by simply giving him a pill once a month. Vito is quiet, sits when told and readily shakes paw. He is house trained and gets along with children and other dogs. Please give Vito another chance at a forever home.

Vito is 1 year old and weighs 65 pounds. He is UTD on vaccines and will be neutered soon and microchipped upon adoption.
