Jeff - German Shepherd Dog and Mountain Cur Dog for Adoption in Johnson City, Tennessee

Meet Jeff!

This adorable shepherd mix puppy may be small now, but he's going to grow into a smart, loyal, and athletic companion who will need a family that's ready to keep up with him.

Jeff is playful, curious, and eager to learn - all traits that make German Shepherds and shepherd mixes such phenomenal dogs. But with that intelligence and drive comes the need for daily mental and physical exercise, positive training, and a home that understands the breed's needs. Shepherds thrive when they have a "job" to do, whether that's going on long hikes, learning agility, or being your partner in everyday adventures.

For the right adopter, Jeff will be the kind of dog you'll brag about for years - loyal, protective, incredibly smart, and deeply bonded to his people. For the wrong match, though, these dogs can become restless or bored, which can lead to unwanted behaviors. That's why we're asking anyone interested to do their homework on the breed and make sure you're ready for the commitment before applying.

Jeff's adoption fee is $275, which includes his age-appropriate vaccines, microchip, and eventually his neuter when he's old enough.
