LANI - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Jefferson City, Missouri

WELCOME TO MISSOURI, LANI!

Our other beautiful California girl has officially made it to Missouri, and we are SO excited to introduce you to Lani!

Just look at this gorgeous girl.

Lani is a beautiful 5-year-old German Shepherd, weighing about 46 pounds, with the prettiest light blonde coat and soft black markings. She’s a smaller shepherd girl—dainty, feminine and absolutely beautiful.

Lani came into the shelter as a stray back in January, and shelter life can be A LOT, especially for a quieter, more sensitive dog.

And that seems to be our Lani.

She was described as calm, sweet, laid-back and quiet. She wasn’t the girl demanding attention from everyone who walked by. She was more likely to hang back, observe and take everything in at her own pace.

Her shelter card even said “go slow, nervous.”

And you know what?

We can do slow.

Sometimes the dogs who need a little extra time are the ones who absolutely blossom once they finally realize they’re safe.

We’re going to give this sweet girl the time and space she needs to decompress and let us see who Lani really is. We have a feeling there’s a pretty special girl underneath that quiet exterior, and we can’t wait to watch her come out of her shell.
