Heâ€ÂTMs not just looking for a home… heâ€ÂTMs waiting for the right one. Luke is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his people. He thrives in a calm, loving environment where he can feel safe, understood, and part of the family. ✠̈ Who Luke is: • Gentle, loyal, and incredibly affectionate • Wonderful with children • Friendly and non-aggressive with people • Calm temperament — not a high-energy dog • Walks beautifully on leash • Enjoys quiet walks and time at the park (squirrel-watching is a favorite pastime) • Knows basic commands and has had training • Housebroken, well-mannered, and not destructive • Does not bark excessively ✠̈ A few honest notes (because he deserves the right match): • Like many Shepherds, Luke is naturally protective of his “pack” • He has made great progress with training, but can still show intermittent leash reactivity toward other dogs • He will do best with someone patient, consistent, and committed to continuing his training and building his confidence • He tolerates grooming and brushing, but itâ€ÂTMs not his favorite activity ✠̈ His story: Luke hasnâ€ÂTMt had the easiest start. He was rescued from a shelter after being hit by a car and underwent major reconstructive surgery on his back leg — from which he has fully recovered. He also has an old injury in his front leg that limits mobility in that joint, giving him a unique little “bi-bop” walk. It doesnâ€ÂTMt slow him down or affect his quality of life — itâ€ÂTMs just part of what makes him Luke. â ̧» ❤ï ̧ What he truly needs Luke is not a “first-come, first-served” dog. He is a heart dog. He needs: • A stable, loving home • Someone who understands or is willing to learn about Shepherds • A family that will include him, guide him, and continue investing in him • A calm, structured environment where he can feel secure â ̧» ✠̈ Why heâ€ÂTMs worth it For the right person or family, Luke will be incredibly rewarding — loyal, loving, and deeply connected. Heâ€ÂTMs the kind of dog who will quietly become your shadow and your companion in the most meaningful way. â ̧» If you feel a genuine connection to him and believe you can offer the kind of home he deserves, we would love to hear from you. This is a truly special dog, and weâ€ÂTMre committed to finding him a home that sees that. ðŸ3⁄4💛 The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
