This beautiful German Shepherd mix is the perfect medium-sized companion. She may be petite, but her heart is absolutely overflowing with love.

Gissel is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever she goes. She loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and even gets along well with cats! She's leash trained and is always happy to join you for neighborhood strolls, outdoor adventures, or simply relaxing by your side after a fun day together.

Before coming into rescue, Gissel devoted herself to raising her puppies after being saved from the euthanasia list. Now that her babies are ready for their own futures, its finally her turn to be someone's baby.

She is affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she's with her people. Whether you're heading out for a walk, running errands, or settling in for a cozy evening at home, Gissel will be right there with a wagging tail and lots of love to give.

All she's missing is a family to call her own.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
