Hi, I’m Monty. I’m a 7 year old German Shepherd, and I’m looking for something I never thought I’d need to ask for—a new forever home. I have been deeply loved my entire life. My person is terminally ill, and as heartbreaking as it is, they can no longer care for me. I’m hoping there is someone special out there who will open their heart to a very good boy who still has so much love and loyalty to give.

I’m fully trained, incredibly sweet, loving, and devoted. I’m the kind of dog who bonds deeply with my person and wants nothing more than to be by their side. I’m a true German Shepherd—smart, loyal, attentive, and proud of my job. Because I am a working-line type of Shepherd, I would do best with someone who has German Shepherd or working-dog experience and understands the breed.

I am not a match for small dogs, but for the right person, I can be an absolutely wonderful companion.

I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m simply a beloved boy whose life has changed in the most heartbreaking way. All I’m asking for is someone who will see what my family already knows: I am an extraordinary dog who deserves to be cherished for the rest of my life. Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs. Our fosters are available to answer your questions and will give you all the details you need to know about our dogs such as if they are shy, are they outgoing, what is their energy level, are they couch potatoes, love bugs, kissers, lickers, so please do apply and ask our fosters questions - this will ensure you find your pur-fect match in our rescue!
