ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE

The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under a year old). We have criteria for our adoptions of puppies. Puppies are adopted on a foster-to-adopt basis until the puppy is old enough to be neutered/spayed (we prefer them to be no younger than 7 months for females and 9 months for males). Houses with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be protected from the pool with fencing or a cover. Home visits for shots will be required, so puppies are adopted to homes in Maricopa County only. Puppies often have multiple potential adopters, so SPR evaluates what home is best matched with any given puppy and their expected home needs once they have grown.

MEET SHADOW – A BEAUTIFUL BOY WITH THE MOST AMAZING BLUE EYES!

Sometimes, the sweetest souls are the ones who have been through the most.

Meet Shadow, an absolutely handsome, approximately 7–8-month-old German Shepherd/Husky mix (our best guess!). And just look at those gorgeous blue eyes! They are enough to melt anyone's heart!

Shadow's story didn't start the way any puppy's should. We believe this sweet boy was abandoned and left to figure out the world on his own.

Thankfully, a wonderful family saw something special in Shadow. Instead of turning away, they showed him kindness, patience, and love. Little by little, they earned his trust and helped him understand that not all people will let him down.

And the best part? They agreed to foster him for Saving Paws Rescue AZ!

We cannot thank this incredible family enough for opening their hearts and home to Shadow and giving him the chance he deserves.

SHADOW'S MEDICAL UPDATE

Shadow has already received his rabies vaccination and DHPP vaccination.

Saving Paws Rescue AZ is working on scheduling his neuter, microchip, and next round of DHPP booster vaccinations.

Saving Paws Rescue AZ is an all-volunteer, 501 (c) (3) charitable organization in Phoenix, Arizona, dedicated to providing veterinary care, evaluation and adoptive homes for German Shepherd Dogs , Belgian Malinois and others who are left in pounds to await uncertain fate, are owner surrenders ( divorce, death, etc.) or are from abusive or negligent situations. We help provide a safe harbor for German Shepherds and other breeds that might otherwise be destroyed.
