Joe - German Shepherd Dog Dog Available for Adoption in Fries, Virginia

JOE

German Shepherd Dog
🇺🇸
Fries, Virginia
May 14th
male, extra large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Joe — a handsome purebred German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger devotion to his people. At around 5–6 years old and approximately 105 pounds, Joe is currently on a healthy weight loss journey because we think he’d feel much better carrying a little less extra fluff!

Joe is fully house trained, loves having his own designated bed, and is happiest simply being near his people. He’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond with his humans and takes his role as protector very seriously. His previous owners noticed that as he matured, he became more selective about his environment, and they wanted to ensure he found the perfect forever fit where he could truly thrive.

Joe would do best as the only pet in the home with no cats, other dogs, or small children. His ideal home would be a calm environment with one or two adults who understand and appreciate the loyal, protective nature of the German Shepherd breed. In the right home, Joe is incredibly loving, devoted, and content.

He walks on a leash and knows basic commands including sit, stay, and come. Due to his size and strength, he can pull a bit while walking, but he enjoys getting out and spending time with his people. Joe also does very well off leash and has no desire to run away. He rides quietly in the car, can comfortably be left home alone, and will patiently wait by the front door for your return.

Joe is looking for someone who wants a true companion — a loyal shadow, a protector, and a best friend all wrapped into one very handsome German Shepherd.
