They named him Thor, but this gentle boy is less God of Thunder and more God of Quiet Loyalty.

Thor is a 4-month-old German Shepherd with a unique black and beige coat that gives him a soft, almost gray appearance, and a personality that feels wise beyond his puppy months. He has a bit of an old-soul energy, the kind of pup who doesnt need to be the center of attention to completely steal your heart!

He tends to keep to himself more than his siblings, happily observing the world around him, but dont let that fool you. Thor still enjoys playtime and will jump in when the moment feels right. He has the perfect balance of independence and affection. One minute hes doing his own thing, and the next hes right by your side, soaking up love and giving it right back.

Thor is what you might call an introverted extrovert. Hes calm and low-key on his own, but when you engage with him, his social side shines. Hell happily interact, connect, and even get a little vocal in the sweetest way, especially when hes enjoying attention.

Since being rescued from the Galveston shelter and spending the past few weeks in foster care, Thor has adjusted beautifully to home life. Hes done especially well with routine and structure, settling into a schedule alongside his siblings. He sleeps through the night (with only the occasional early morning potty break), is kennel trained, and has been responding well to commands and guidance.

Thor does well with the other dogs in the home and is comfortable around adults. Hes a fairly quiet pup overall and has shown just how adaptable and steady he can be as he continues to learn.

Like all puppies, Thor will need continued patience, consistency, and a loving environment to keep building his confidence. But for someone who appreciates a thoughtful, affectionate companion with a calm presence and a quietly playful side, Thor is something truly special.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $1,200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100$1,000+ per dog.
