DESCRIPTION

Pauly D is the kind of dog that walks into a room like he already knows hes about to become everyones favorite. Hes got this larger-than-life personality that instantly pulls people in, equal parts charming, goofy, affectionate, and wildly entertaining. One minute hes making you laugh with his playful antics and dramatic expressions, the next hes leaning into you for affection like youre the most important person in the world. He has that rare combination of confident social butterfly energy mixed with genuinely sweet, loyal companionship, and it makes him ridiculously easy to love.

Theres just something about Pauly D that makes life feel more fun. Maybe its the happy-go-lucky attitude, the constant enthusiasm for being included in literally anything, or the way he carries himself like the cool guy at the party while still being a total cuddle bug underneath it all. Whatever it is, this boy has the kind of feel-good personality that people remember long after meeting him.

Pauly D is believed to be a German Shepherd mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 56 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, its always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Pauly D is a total people guy. The kind of dog that sees a human and immediately assumes youre there to admire him, hype him up, and hand over affection and honestly, hes usually right. He happily strolls up to say hello, leans into pets like hes known you forever, and has absolutely no issue making himself comfortable right beside you for cuddles. Butt scratches? Elite. Couch time? Sign him up immediately. Hugs, attention, being involved in literally anything youre doing? Thats his love language. Pauly D has this social, outgoing personality that makes him the type of dog who would thrive in a home that likes having friends over because in his mind, strangers are just future fans.

Recently, Pauly D went on a day of adventures that included a café outing, a trip to Pet Supplies Plus, a bath, and plenty of opportunities to show us exactly who he is out in public. The verdict? Pauly D is genuinely a lover boy with some really impressive manners. At the café there were adults, children, other dogs, food, and plenty of activity happening around him. Pauly D was happy to simply relax at the table and enjoy being included. He paid very little attention to the dogs around him and mostly ignored the people passing by as well.

In fact, one of our favorite moments happened when we invited him into a lap while someone was eating a muffin. If you've ever owned a dog, you know that's a pretty good test of manners. Pauly D passed with flying colors. He didn't try to steal a bite, beg for food, or sneak a taste. He simply sat there smiling, perfectly content being close to his person.
The adventures continued at Pet Supplies Plus where Pauly D once again showed us what a nice dog he is to take out in public. He was curious about all the sights, smells, toys, treats, and people around him, but he never tried pulling toward dogs or strangers. He politely sniffed items as we walked by without trying to grab anything for himself.

Even bath time, which he seemed a little unsure about initially, ended up being a success because of how much he trusted the people handling him. By the end, he was all smiles, especially when it came time to be dried off with a towel. Apparently being wrapped up and fussed over is one of his favorite things. Pauly D is also an excellent passenger in the car. He loves being close to his people and would happily choose the seat right next to you every time, but he settles nicely and simply enjoys being part of whatever adventure the day has in store. More than anything, this outing reminded us that while Pauly D absolutely loves fun, his favorite thing in the world is simply being included.

And when it comes to fun? Pauly D is READY. Toys are a huge hit with him and he fully commits to playtime. Stuffies, balls, tug toys, chew toys... if it looks entertaining, hes in. Hell happily play fetch, bounce around the yard showing off, or entertain himself with goofy zoomies when he gets excited. He has that fun-loving, upbeat energy that keeps life entertaining, but hes also got a great off switch and can absolutely appreciate a solid couch crash after hes gotten his playtime in.

Pauly D is dog friendly and has been in multiple playgroups. He brings big VIP-section energy into a playgroup and walks around like everybody already knows who he is. Its honestly hilarious. Pauly D is social, confident, playful, and very much the guy that wants to make the rounds, stir up some fun, and keep the party going. Some of his best dog friends are playful, confident females that enjoy chase games, dont mind a little rowdy bro energy, and know how to match his fun without taking things too seriously. He especially thrives with goofy, easygoing girls that can play hard for a bit and then naturally settle down for a break after.

In a home, Pauly D would likely do best paired with a fun-loving, socially savvy female dog that enjoys an active, playful dynamic and can appreciate his outgoing personality. He would also do great as you're one-and-only because honestly... Pauly D already carries himself like the main character. Hes the type of dog that naturally becomes the center of attention everywhere he goes and he would absolutely love soaking up all the love, adventures, compliments, and couch time for himself. As far as kitties go, Pauly D would do best in a kitty-free home.

Want to know what would make Pauly D truly living-his-best-life levels of happy? A home with a nice backyard to show off in, humans who enjoy being active and involved with him, and people who appreciate a dog with personality for days. Pauly D would thrive with a confident adopter that enjoys walks, adventures, continued training, and having a dog that actually wants to be part of everything youre doing. Hes not the type that wants to sit quietly in the background while life happens around him. He wants IN on the fun.

A yard for zoomies, a couch for dramatic lounging sessions, and humans who love affection, laughter, and a little daily chaos in the best way would basically be his dream setup. Pauly D has that loyal sidekick personality where he naturally wants to be near his people, involved in the action, and soaking up attention whenever possible. The more included he is in your day-to-day life, the happier this boy will be. And honestly? The more time you have to spoil him and tell him how handsome he is, the more hell absolutely eat it up.

Pauly D has been around children as young as 5 and was respectful and appropriate with them, but he did seem a little unsure of the younger kid energy. Because of that, we think Pauly D would thrive most in a home with kids around 8 and up that can better understand his space, read his cues, and enjoy his playful, outgoing personality without overwhelming him. Hes a social, fun-loving guy that wants to be included in family life, but he also appreciates a little more predictability and calmness than the average tiny-child tornado tends to bring. Older kids that want a goofy sidekick for walks, hanging out in the yard, movie nights, and everyday adventures would likely be right up Pauly Ds alley.

We are willing to test Pauly D with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
