Hi! I'm Rex, a 5-year-old neutered German Shepherd who's looking for my forever family. If you're familiar with shepherds, we'll probably get along great. If you're looking for a dog who always listens the first time... well... we should probably have a chat.

I know my basic commands, but let's just say I occasionally like to pretend I didn't hear you. I prefer to think of it as encouraging consistency in my humans. Shepherd people know the drill—I like to test the rules before I agree to follow them.

What I do excel at is loving my family. Once I bond with you, you're my people, and I'll be your loyal shadow. Whether you're watching TV, cooking dinner, working from home, or just walking from one room to another for absolutely no reason, I'll be there to supervise. Personal space? Never heard of it. Cuddling? I'm a professional.

I'm a social guy, too! I get along well with dogs, cats, and kids, making me a great addition to many families.

Now, let's discuss my résumé of "quirks":

-Bicycles are highly suspicious, and I will loudly inform everyone when one appears.
-I'm a very big boy, which means if you leave snacks on the counter... I may assume they're part of my employee benefits package.
-I don't enjoy being left alone or spending time in a kennel. I'd much rather be hanging out with my favorite humans than sitting behind bars wondering what fun I'm missing.
-My bark is impressive. The parents at summer school pickup know. The neighbors probably know. You'll definitely know.

Because I'm a classic German Shepherd with a big personality, I'd do best with an owner who has shepherd experience and understands that confidence, consistency, and structure help me be the best version of myself.
