Diesel - German Shepherd Dog Dog for Adoption in Clay City, Kentucky

Diesel is a happy young adult shepherd mix who was surrendered to our shelter. At about 2 years old, he's got a lot of puppy left in him. For a 90 pounder, he controls his energy well and already knows some good manners.

Diesel would be best in a home without cats. He is friendly toward children, but night not be best for very small children because of his size and energy. He loves running in our play yard and will need a secure space with plenty of room to run and explore. He'll need a human or humans to give him time, attention, love, and guidance as he learns and grows. Come meet the handsome Diesel!

The Powell County Animal Shelter is at 121 Echo Hollow Road, Clay City, KY. We can arrange to meet you at the shelter during or after open hours at a time that works for you. Shelter hours are 9-3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 10 to noon on Saturday. It is always best to make an appointment by calling or texting 859-420-0175. If the phone is not answered right away, please leave a message and your call will be returned quickly!

Adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$200. The fee covers the mandatory spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, dewormer, and first round of flea and tick preventatives. We accept cash, checks, and a QR code on the application allows you to pay by credit card, Pay Pal, or Google Pay.
