Luna Needs a Special Foster Home

Luna came to us as part of a cruelty case that is still making its way through the court system. After everything she has been through, what she needs now is a patient, experienced foster who can help her feel safe and learn how to be a family dog again.

Luna will need a foster home with no other animals and someone comfortable working with a dog who needs a little extra guidance. When she gets excited, Luna can become overstimulated and mouthy, so an experienced foster who can provide structure, patience, and continued training would be ideal.

But there is also such a sweet side to this girl. Luna absolutely loves her stuffed animals and balls and carries them around with her almost like a security blanket. She is crate trained and housebroken, giving her a great foundation to build on.

We were actually able to track down Luna's original owner. They told us that Luna did not display these behaviors when she lived with them. They are currently out of the country, which is why Luna was originally rehomed and ultimately ended up in the situation from which she was rescued.

That history gives us a lot of hope. We truly believe that with stability, love, boundaries, and some additional training, Luna can get back to being the great family dog she once was.

She has already lost so much. Now she just needs someone willing to give her the chance to find herself again.
