Some dogs simply need a chance to show who they truly are and Costata is one of them.
Shelter life has been incredibly overwhelming for this beautiful girl, but once she moved into a foster home, everything changed. The shy, nervous pup we first met has blossomed into a playful, affectionate, and well-mannered companion who is more than ready to find the family shes always deserved.
Costata is crate trained, mostly house-trained with a consistent schedule, and already knows several commands including sit, shake, lay down, off, and place. Shes eager to learn even more because treats are definitely the way to her heart!
She enjoys the company of other dogs and gains confidence from having a canine friend around, though its not required. She also does well with cats.
Because of her past, Costata is still timid around new people and will need a patient family willing to let her settle in at her own pace. She would do best in a home without men or young children. Once she trusts you, though, she becomes your loyal shadow, always wanting to be nearby. Whether its cuddling on the couch, playing fetch or tug, or simply relaxing by your side, Costata is happiest just being with her people.
She has wonderful house manners and would fit well in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and quiet days.
If youre looking for a dog who will reward your patience with unwavering love and loyalty, Costata just might be your perfect match.

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption
Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
