Meet Ella!

Ella is an almost 5-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her smile. She never meets a stranger and loves greeting people with kisses before settling in for cuddles on the couch. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, Ella is your girl.

Ella is wonderful with other dogs and has done great with children, even babies. She is house-trained and thrives in a home environment. While she doesn't enjoy being kenneled due to separation anxiety, she does very well when left out of the crate. You'll often find her happily keeping herself busy with a chew toy or bone, playing with her dog friends, or stretched out on the couch catching up on her beauty sleep.

Ella is an active dog who would love a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. She'll need a securely fenced yard and 12 walks each day to keep her happy and fulfilled. She can be strong on leash and tends to pull, so she'll do best with a confident handler who can provide consistent guidance. With structure and leadership, she's a wonderful walking companion.

Ella would do best in a home without cats. She also has a funny habit of digging only if another dog starts it first, so she'd be happiest with canine companions who have good backyard manners.
