DESCRIPTION

Hi! I’m Willow!
I’m an 8-week-old Shepherd/Husky mix, weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs of courage, sass, and ridiculously cute puppy energy.

I’ve been in my foster home for less than 24 hours, so please keep your expectations reasonable. I literally just moved out of my siblings’ place. I’m going through some things.

So far, my foster family has learned that I am brave, spunky, curious, playful and VERY good at sleeping.
But there’s one other important thing you should know about me...
I think I LOVE humans.
Specifically, my foster mom (for now).
She moves, I move.
She goes to another room, so do I.

She gets up, apparently we’re both getting up.
Personal space? Never heard of her.
I’m a little shadow, and when I’m finished with my puppy adventures, I’m more than happy to curl up for some serious cuddles.

My daily schedule currently consists of:
Play.
Follow foster mom.
Explore.
Follow foster mom.
Cause a tiny amount of chaos.
Follow foster mom.
Cuddle.
Sleep like I pay the mortgage.
Repeat.
I’m also teething!
Apparently humans don’t appreciate being used as chew toys, so I’m learning about something called redirection. Personally, I think fingers are perfectly acceptable, but we’re working through our differences.

My crate and I are becoming friends.
Foster mom feeds me in there.
She gives me treats in there.
I have concluded that the crate may, in fact, be a magical snack box.
Potty training: WORK IN PROGRESS.
I’m starting to understand that bathroom business happens outside. Remember, I’m only 8 weeks old and I’ve been here for less than a day. Give a girl a minute!

Training:
Sit? Not yet.
Paw? Nope.
Stay? Absolutely not.
Leash walking? Haven’t tried it yet.
Right now, I’m just learning my new surroundings, getting comfortable without my siblings and figuring out this whole living-with-humans situation. Training will come!

Other dogs? Yep! I get along with them and I’m happy to have some canine company.

Cats? WHAT IS THAT THING?!
I’m very curious about my foster cat, but I’m gentle with her and haven’t tried to hurt her. Mostly, I’d just really like to know why she’s allowed on the counters and seems to be in charge of everyone.

I’ve had my first round of vaccinations and have received Simparica.

Basically, I’m a tiny 5-lb adventurer with a big personality and an even bigger love for humans. I’ll need a family who understands that puppies require patience, consistency, training, love and a good sense of humour.

In return, you’ll get a cuddle buddy, tiny shadow, adventure partner and best friend who will probably follow you to the bathroom for the rest of your life.
Love,
Willow
