Meet Kaiya 🏆

This absolutely stunning looking gal is Kaiya. We believe her to be a German Shepherd / Husky mix. Now, you might be thinking, "that seems like one sort of chaos mix asking to happen". Surprisingly enough, no! We do not have a whole lot of history on this unique gal, but one thing is for sure - she has certainly had some good quality training in her lifetime. She's very well-mannered and has a great temperament. She's calm, does well around other dogs, and is very smart. You want her to learn something? She will catch on very quickly. If you're wanting a project dog for hunting, protection, or livestock guardian, Kaiya would do fantastic in any role you want to train her for.

She does well around other dogs, occasionally wanting to run and play with them. We have not cat tested her at this time. She is naturally skittish around new people and places, but she is still well mannered. Worst case scenario, she will keep her distance from strangers. She tends to keep her kennel really well kept, so we believe her to be housetrained. She also does amazingly in a crate, on a leash, and on a car ride. While we think she has some husky in her, we have yet to hear her bark or even make much of a peep, if you can believe it.

She also isn't as high energy as one would expect. Don't get us wrong, she loves to run around in the yard and will occasionally have some zoomies, but her form of enrichment comes in the form of doing things such as enrichment toys or practicing her tricks and commands. She requires a lot of mental stimulation, so someone with a bit of experience with similar breeds would be best for her. Kaiya is the type of dog who has boundless potential, she's just waiting to find the right person to help her reach it. 🐾
