Fruity Pebbles, affectionately known as Pebbles, is a 8-month-old adventure-loving pup with the sweetest soul and a loyal heart. At around 35 pounds right now, she’s expected to grow into a medium-to-large sized dog and has all the makings of an incredible companion for someone looking for a best friend to explore life with.

Pebbles may be a German Shepherd mix, but with rescue that’s always our best guess. What matters most is who she is, and she is truly special.

She’s smart, observant, affectionate, and deeply connected to her people. Pebbles loves learning and already knows commands like sit, stay, paw, and touch. She’s curious, food motivated, eager to please, and doing wonderfully with recall training. She especially loves outdoor adventures like hiking trails, waterfalls, river days, and exploring new places alongside her humans.

While she can take a moment to warm up to new people, Pebbles builds trust quickly with patience and kindness. She prefers gentle interactions and will often offer her paw before she’s ready for head pets. Once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly loving, loyal, and attached to her people.

She’s beautifully adaptable and has already lived successfully in multiple environments, including a Texas home with a yard, a downtown Portland high-rise apartment, and now the Portland suburbs. Pebbles settles well inside the home, is crate trained, potty trained, and does great being crated while her foster is at work during the day.

Pebbles thrives with other animals and has lived happily with dogs and cats. She’s currently fostered with several dogs of all sizes and adjusts her play style beautifully depending on the energy of the other dog. She enjoys companionship, enrichment toys, chew bones, and being included in everyday life.

She would do best with someone patient who will continue building her confidence and advocate for her as she navigates new experiences. In return, she’ll give you a deeply loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side.

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travel safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations, in WA, UT, OR, ID, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA,). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page!

Before the adoption is finalized, you will meet your pet through a video call, creating a fun and personalized experience!

The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth, and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
