Grab your Kleenex for this one. We try really hard to keep things positive on our posts, but we also believe in full transparency, especially when it comes to our adoptions. Shelby (formally Sally) was adopted by a very sweet person at the end of March. Her new owner posted pictures of her on their social media and corresponded with Lifehouse that she was adjusting so well. The new owner was obviously smitten. Fast forward to just a few days ago, Lifehouse got a callShelby's new owner had passed away. We now have her back in our care. We tell you all of this because Shelby is a great dog but may need some time to readjust again considering her situation.
She did fine in her previous adopter's apartment. She walks well on leash and rides well in the car. She is four years old and weighs around 35 pounds. She is a shepherd mix. Someone give this gal another chance. She is a fantastic dog.
