When our team found him, Sirius was out there protecting a mama dog and her five helpless puppies—standing watch, keeping them safe, and refusing to leave their side. It’s the kind of loyalty you don’t teach… it’s simply who he is.
Once we were able to safely trap him and bring him back, we expected a dog who might be guarded or unsure. Instead, Sirius surprised us in the best way: he is an absolute lover. He adores people, melts for attention, and is famous among our volunteers for his sweet face, gentle energy, and those “I missed you!” kisses. Sirius doesn’t just want affection—he wants connection.
Sirius is fully vetted and heartworm negative, and he’s doing amazing with home-life basics. He’s potty trained and continues to improve every day as he works on leash manners. He’s smart, eager, and the kind of dog who will thrive with a family that enjoys consistency, structure, and lots of quality time together.

Sirius’s ideal home:
-A home with kids 10+
-No other male dogs
-We are currently testing and working with female dogs in playgroups
