Meet Ricky: 35 lb. "Pocket Pittie" Seeking a Dedicated Home- He is the wiggliest sweetest boy around and so good looking!! He's very small but muscular.

Background & Health
Ricky was rescued as a stray by the NYPD. brought to our rescue via NYCACC and will be available for adoption the week of October 5th.

He is about 1 year old,

He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Tested neg, for HW fully healthy. His Merle coat is beautiful no patchy skin, he eats well and is 100% housebroken. He seems very healthy and active.


Temperament & Behavior
• Affectionate seeks attention and VERY FRIENDLY, a lap dog
He craves human companionship. He is a true "velcro dog" who loves to lap-sit and cuddle.

• House Manners: He is completely housebroken and non-destructive when left unsupervised in the home.
Ricky experiences mild separation anxiety and prefers not to be left alone. While he will settle in a crate after a few minutes of barking, his ideal environment allows him to roam freely. He will likely want to sleep in his adopter's bed.

As much as Ricky likes to be next to you on the couch, he is not a couch potato all of the time.... He loves chasing a ball going for walks and will need daily activity. He walks nicely on a leash.

Adoption Requirements
• Home Environment: Applicants must have a flexible schedule where someone is home most or all of the day (e.g., work-from-home or retired).
A home with a securely fenced yard is highly preferred so he can safely explore.
