Elmer - French Bulldog Dog for Adoption in San Diego, California

Personality:
He is mainly very chill and relaxed but definitely lets his puppyish side come out here and there. Loves to receive cuddles and play with other dogs. He is a shockingly easy and low maintenance dog to take care of and just needs someone to give him endless cuddles.

Education:
100% potty trained and never had any accidents indoors. He is incredible at holding it for a while and going potty right away whenever his foster brings him outside.

Favorite Activities:
He loves to lay upside down and play with other doggies. He's very calm and enjoys just being pet or being around people. He enjoys stroller rides as well!

Looking For:
Elmer would do well in a household with other animals and children, and he would do well in a more mellow environment as well. He is an adaptable little king! He would love to end up somewhere where he is given opportunities to socialize as he seems happiest when surrounded by his friends.

He is unable to walk (yet).

Elmer's the Little King of Cuddles!

Hi pals, I'm Elmer! I may not be able to walk (yet), but don't let that stop you from seeing what a happy, playful, and easygoing guy I am. I'm a 3-year-old, 19-pound French Bulldog/Long-Coat Chi mix, and I'm currently looking for a furever home where I can love and be loved!

I'm a chill guy who LOVES cuddles, pets, and hanging out with my people. I also have a silly, puppyish side that comes out when I'm ready to play! One of my favorite things is laying upside down and goofing around with my doggy friends. I even enjoy stroller rides, so I'm always happy to come along for the adventure.

I meet lots of dogs in my foster home, and while I can be a little cautious at first, once I know a new friend is friendly, I'm usually ready to join the fun. I may give a little during intros, but it's just my way of saying, "Hey, be gentle with me!" I've also done wonderfully around a toddler and am known to be calm and sweet with kids. I previously lived with a cat, too, and did well with them.

I'm 100% potty trained, which makes the humans happy! I'm also pawfectly content hanging out without constant entertainment. I like to have my space during mealtime, and I'll let you know if another dog gets too close.

Because I'm unable to walk right now, I'll need a family who is comfortable caring for a pup with mobility limitations. But honestly, I don't ask for much beyond love, cuddles, and the chance to be part of the pack! I'm happiest when I'm surrounded by friends, but I'd also do well in a mellow home.

I was rescued from the Santa Barbara euthanasia list because of my mobility challenges, and I think it's about time I found someone who sees what my foster family sees: a quirky, sweet, adaptable little king who has SO much love to give!
