Meet Leonard!
Leonard is an old man—possibly 14 years young—who was left behind in a shelter in North Carolina. When we learned about him, we knew he deserved something better than spending his final chapter alone. He deserved comfort, kindness, snacks, and most importantly... love.
And Leonard has surprised us! His blood work looks good, and he has a strong heart. This sweet senior boy still has some life left to live, and we are hoping to find a hospice foster willing to give him the warm, loving home he deserves for whatever time he has left.
Leonard is a big Frenchie boy at 31 pounds and enjoys the simple things in life: eating, sleeping, snacking, and then maybe taking another nap. He gets along well with other dogs and is a true Frenchie who absolutely loves human contact.
Leonard is both blind and deaf, so touch is the best way to communicate with him. He enjoys wandering around, exploring his surroundings, and searching the floor for any forgotten goodies. We like to call this his favorite pastime: hunting for treats!
Leonard doesn't need much. A soft place to sleep, good food, a few snacks in between, gentle hands to guide him, and someone willing to love an old guy who still has plenty of heart.
Could you give Leonard the dignified, peaceful, and love-filled life he deserves?
