This little French Bulldog girl was found tied to a fire hydrant in the Sacramento area and taken in by a good samaritan. The finder has multiple dogs and a toddler and knew she couldn't care for this girl...even though they bonded quickly. Dogwood was contacted and by complete chance, there was a volunteer driving home to Sonoma County right past Sacramento and she brought her to us. Mia Hamm loves her soccer ball (hence the name!) and so far has been sweet and gentle, meeting new people and new dogs. She weighs 19 pounds now, but is very thin and needs to gain about 5 pounds. She's had babies in the past, but that's soon going to change! We're guessing she is about 3 years old. She's on a stray hold now, but we'll get her to the vet and spayed when she clears that hold and she'll be available when she's cleared medically.
